Monday September 28- 1931 I packed my suit case and William took me to The Station to get my ticket and check suit case. Hattie & Birdie here part of the afternoon Later Cora came. I got my supper over and did some telephoning, and finished packing. William Mary & Rob called. Tuesday September 29- 1931 I left home at 1.45 AM for Omaha where I changed cars for San Francisco. Had breakfast at Omaha. Warm going through Nebraska I slept some wrote Hattie & Laura. Went to bed early Wednesday September 30- 1931 I mailed letters at Ogden Utah in forenoon The days ride more comfortable than yesterday Thursday October 1st 1931 Had breakfast on the train Reached Oakland Pier 7.45 LeGrand met me We came out in a taxi. They have a pleasant place to live Friday October 2- 1931 Alberta busy with her work in AM. I had letter from Ida and wrote her. Alberta had a number of ladies in for the afternoon. Very pleasant Saturday October 3- 1931 Alberta and I had such a wonderful ride in the forenoon with the wife of Dr Walsh The afternoon LeGrand & Alberta away a little while. The evening here at home.
