Sunday December 13- 1931 Hattie went to S S & church. Ott brought her home and was here till nearly dark. I was down stairs most of the day It snowed some late in the PM. I read in the evening. Monday December 14- 1931 I did not get up till nearly noon. Hattie away in the PM I wrote Mrs Wade. Then slept awhile. Then wrote to Mrs Falk. A note to Mrs Hoffman who has lost her husband. To Laura [Mahana?] & letter to Delavan paper. Tuesday December 15- 1931 I wrote Mrs Doyle in AM. Slept awhile in afternoon before I wrote Caroline Peckham & Lula Vlack. Mr Leman called. Letters from Laura and Emma Herriott Wednesday December 16- 1931 A month today I was taken sick. Cora went to Cedar Rapids with The Swishers. I wrote Grace Taylor, M E Culbertson family & The Robanevs I slept in PM. William & Mary here in the evening Thursday December 17- 1931 I felt some better Wrote Blanche Black in AM After a sleep in the afternoon wrote Mrs Ben Price & Lois Simpson Letter from Ida Nellie not well Wrote to her and to Winnie The snow of Sunday soon melted nice weather.
