Tuesday December 22- 1931 We were home all day I wrote letters to Mattie Stitt Nellie Moore Mabel McDougall Mrs Clute & Mrs Dinse Cards to Lizzie Duncan Birdie Hatten & Teddy Cox William & Mary home from a trip. Wednesday December 23- 1931 Wrote Alice Condon in AM. Hattie went down with Rob after lunch. She did not get home till supper time I got a lot of mail. Wrote Ida late in PM Thursday December 24- 1931 We were home all day I got a lot more mail William & Mary here to get what we had and to leave packages. Listened to Radio all evening Friday December 25- 1931 We were up early to look at presents I got a box of stationery a half dozen handkerchief, hot water bottle & fountain pen. The Whetstones about as much as they usually do. Went over to Byingtons for dinner They had many things too I felt very well a nice day we came home before it was late. I read most of the evening Saturday December 26- 1931 Rob & Cora drove to Des Moines I wrote cards to Mrs Greenholzth at The Rosslyn and The Pennistons at Piketon Hattie went down town in PM. She brought me a lot of mail. One from Ida is very discouraging about Nellie. Byingtons here in evening
