Thursday July 14- 1932. Still hot. Wrote Laura and LeGrand in AM. Slept in afternoon. Read a little. Mrs Gay took us to ride in evening. She has company. Miss Lyon and neice from Webster City. I have that pain again Friday July 15- 1932. I did a little cleaning and washing. Winnie to The Library for some books. Letter from Laura at Somerset Penn Rested in PM. Spent evening over at Byingtons. The Whetstones there a few moments Birdie with them she had come for a short stay. Saturday July 16- 1932. I did ironing and other work about the house. Very warm. Slept some in PM. Evening at Byingtons Sunday July 17- 1932 We went to S.S & Church with Ott. The PM at home, resting. Evening over at Byingtons. The Gays busy with company. Miss Lyon and her neice. letter from LeGrand. Monday July 18- 1932. Did a little washing. Went to Oxford with Rob. Winnie not well. I slept some in PM. After supper rode to Stevens with The Whetstones. Libbie very bad Tuesday July 19- 1932. Letter from Laura. They are safely home. Did some ironing Rested in P.M. Had ride with Mrs Gartner after supper. Winnie better. Mrs Gay reduced my rent to $45.00 a month and I will stay here. The Gartners are reduced and they will stay too. Very satisfactory
