Thursday December 8- 1932. Very cold and snowed some. Rob took me up to Mrs Ensigns to "The Red" meeting, such a nice time. I went home with Hattie & Cora and Rob brought me home after supper. Letter from Mrs Cliff Home Wrote Winnie Friday December 9- 1932. This is the anniversary of Ediths death. I finished binding a quilt for Hattie in AM. slept in the PM. Mollie & Hattie here in the evening. Hattie gave the quilt to Mollie. It was late when they went home. Saturday December 10- 1932. It is 14 years today that Will died. It was so cold in the house I did not do much but read. After dinner Floyd & Mollie came and we went out to see Aunt Emma she is 89 years old today We came on down town to do an errand I wrote Mrs Falk in the evening and was down stairs awhile Sunday December 11- 1932. It was intensely cold. I did not go out of the house. Hattie here a few moments late in afternoon I wrote The Brown Girls at Piketon Lula [Holson] Vlack The Rowes & Earl Danver. slept a while & read a book. Monday December 12- 1932 The anniversary of both Wills & Ediths burial I did a little sewing The Hedges came for a call Still very cold. Ott here for dinner. I wrote Mrs Ben Price Alice Robinson & Mrs Raymond in the evening
