Sunday January 6 1929 Hattie phoned the church was warm so I went in a taxi. She and Rob brought me home After I had dinner I went over to Byingtons in a taxi and back to the [Union?] with Mary. Waited there while she had a committee meeting. Then stopped at the church for vesper service. Hattie came down. She and Rob brought me home and the flowers we had at the church in Mother's ceremony. William & Mary came for part of them. Monday January 7 1929 A very cold day 20 below this evening. I did some ironing sewed in the afternoon. Elmer Anderson here for some of the flowers for his brother. Read in evening. Tuesday January 8 1929 Not so cold. I was busy about home all forenoon letters from Winnie & Ella Nagle. Soon after dinner I went uptown to do some errands and to Mrs Robinsons funeral after that to the Pastime to a picture show. Read in evening. The snow melting Wednesday January 9 1929 It rained and snowed most of the day. I wrote Ida, Blanche Black and Mrs. Falk. On afternoon worked on towels Hattie had brought down for the stores. I saw in the evening paper that H E [Romesbratton?] at Oakdale had died. I called up the brother who is here and talked to him. I read most of the evening.
