Thursday January 10 1929 It has a month today since I got home. It seems longer. I did up the work and wrote Winnie. After dinner Hattie came and we worked on the towels then went to the Englert to a show. Rob came here for her. After supper wrote Lydia. The streets are terrible Friday January 11 1929 I was home all day. Sewed on the towels for the store. Letter from Roxie [Roboneau?] Hattie phoned that Lillian had to go home as her father was sick. Saturday January 12 1929 I sewed in forenoon. Went up town soon after dinner. Did some errands. [Olive?] Spencer came later. Letter from Cousin Jen. Sewed in evening and wrote Joe Woolf. It is cold and walking most dangerous. Sunday January 13 1929 Below zero all day. I did not go out. I put in the forenoon on bank statements and after dinner wrote Fred Beecher in Chicago and copied my notes into this book. Wrote Miss [Stockslayer?] in evening. Monday January 14 1929 It snowed most of the day. I fixed a dress and covered the chair cushions in the kitchen. Hattie phoned me Lillian sent a girl in her place. I had letters from [Laura Mason?] and Russ Doyle. I read the papers in evening and wrote to Cousin Jen. and card to Lorna
