Wednesday February 20th 1929 It was 22 below zero this morning. I sewed all day fixing my brown dress. Letter from Lydia and Winnie. Hattie came after supper and we went to The Englert to hear Walker Whiteside in The Royal Box. I had tickets for Ott & Fannie. She had been up to Hattie's all day so did not come out. Mary came with Ott. Wrote Mrs Folk. Thursday February 21st 1929 Wrote to Cousin Jen, Winnie & Emma Herriott. Cards to Mrs Doyle & Will Levagood. Went to Hattie's by taxi to a club meeting. After supper Rob brought us down to S. U. I. play. Very good. Friday February 22nd 1929 I finished my rug today. Gave the rooms a good cleaning and did some washing. Cold this morning 12 below. In the evening I wrote Lydia, Edith Whetstone, Mattie Stilt and Sister Ida. A card to Alice Condon. Late to bed very tired. Saturday February 23rd 1929 I was busy all forenoon. Tishie and Eloise spent part of the afternoon here and later Hattie and Cora came. I wrote Mrs. Falk. I did a little getting ready to pack my suitcase. Mrs Gay up in the evening. Warmer and ice melting away. Sunday February 24th 1929 I went to church by taxi. Mary came for us and we took Hattie over too. Robert was there and Rob & Cora came later. Fannie had a fine turkey dinner. Later Mary took Hattie and Fannie to Mrs. Lees of an errand and me to the depot to see about ticket &c. She and Buddy stopped here awhile. I did some packing and wrote Harry Rowe in the evening. weather warmer today.
