Friday March 1st 1929 I unpacked and put things in place. Wrote to Ida. Went to town with Mr Falk in PM. They had company to play cards in evening. I listened to radio Saturday March 2nd 1929 I wrote Hattie in forenoon and was busy with other things. Mrs Falk preparing for Company. Mr Falk and Kennith met them, a Mr & Mrs Berg from Davenport. The evening here with all at home Sunday March 3rd 1929 Kennith took me down to SS & church. I went to Mrs Learys for dinner. The Falks had been there with their friends and gone to Daytona. I spent the ofternoon with Miss Stochslater. We went to the band concert. Mrs Falk & friend came for me. very warm. Monday March 4th 1929 I wrote to LeGrand and Lydia in the forenoon. We listened to the Inaugural ceremonies at Washington. The announcer told it was raining. After dinner rode down town with Mrs Folk. Kennith and Mr Falk took their friends to the train. I was at The Pickens. Tuesday March 5th 1929 Wrote Mrs Doyle in forenoon. Mrs Falk and I went to the picture show "The Red Skin" in the afternoon. very good. I got tickets for the Minstrels for Friday night. When listening to the radio in the evening got London Eng. We heard music, the chimes, & Big Ben strike twelve.
