Tuesday June 18th 1929 I finished Hatties rug this morning and Rob came for me at noon. The Byingtons were all there and we had such a happy day. They brought me home. Letter from Mrs Falk. Wednesday June 19th 1929 I began another rug today. Hattie came for dinner and stayed till Cora came for her at three oclock. I spent the evening on the porch with The Gays. Thursday June 20th 1929 I worked on the rug till noon. Soon after dinner Ron phoned Fannie was very sick and his Mother was there and Cora was coming for me. We went right over. She had been stricken, was unconscious. Cora and I came home for a little time just before supper. But when we went back found Dear Fannie has passed away. Hattie stayed for the night. We came home at late bed-time. I phoned to Delavan. Friday June 21st 1929 I was sick all night. Laura & Winnie reached here at mid-night. Laura came here and Winnie went to Hatties. Dr Ned Smith here to see me. I could not sit up at all. Saturday June 22nd 1929 The Dr here this AM. I lay on the couch till three oclock then dressed to go to Fannies funeral which was at four oclock after Ida reached here. Winnie here with us. The girls got their meals out. There was no details of Fannies funeral that was not beautiful. Oh how we will miss her. So sorry to be so sick now. Laura and Mrs Gay took such good care of me.
