Sunday June 23rd 1929 We rested in AM. I was on the couch all day. Soon after dinner George Stevens came and took the girls to the valley and to make other calls. I slept some Tishie Hedges here. Later The Byingtons came and some of them took the girls to ride. Ott, LeGrand & Buddy stayed with me. What a sorrow since a week ago today. Monday June 24th 1929 The Whetstones came to take Winnie to the station. Laura fixed me some dinner and Hattie took the rest out to dinner. The Hedges girls Jennie, Helen and little boy were here and my furniture came. After that Jeff Mc--- came for us. I ate the first real meal since Thursday. Laura stayed there to start home early tomorrow. Tuesday June 25th 1929 I was busy all forenoon putting things in order from having the bed room furniture away. After dinner went to Hatties by taxi. The Byingtons came and took us to the cemetery and brought me home. After supper The Gays took me to the farm with them. I had a letter from Emma Herriott and in event wrote Mrs Doyle. Wednesday Jun 26th 1929 I did some washing in the forenoon and a little sewing. Hattie brought Ida with her things down to stay with me. After supper Otts folks came to take us to the cemetery. We read some in the evening and Mrs Gay was up awhile.
