Saturday August 3rd 1929 I was busy all forenoon. Hattie and Cora took me over to Byingtons to see Alliene Johnston. She arriver last night with her Mothers body. At two o'clock went to the funeral. Rob brought me home from the cemetery. I worked some on the rug. A letter from Lydia. Sunday August 4th 1929 I was late getting up. read some. Jeff McCollister here for a call. Went to dinner with the Whetstones over at The Legion Bldg. We went to the Cemetery with flowers and to their house. Rob brought me home. I read some and wrote LeGrand and Winnie. A delightful day. Monday August 5th 1929 Sent letters to Mattie Fletcher. It rained most of the day. The Whetstones took me over to Shultz for the day. I worked on Hatties rug in the evening. Letters from Winnie, Mrs Falk & Alice Condon. Tuesday August 6th 1929 Worked on Hatties rug. She was her in forenoon and Ott had dinner with me. After supper rode to The Gay farm with them. A pleasant day. Wednesday August 7th 1929 Ott came for me at 7.30 and I rode with him down to Washington. We had such a good visit. We talked over many things that needed to be gone over. Home at 11.15. Afternoon sewing on rug. Mrs Gay has been ill all day. Letter from Ida and wrote to her.
