Sunday September 29th 1929 When I reached Oakland Mr Rowe met me. After we had dinner Kate took me to Lucy Fletchers home. She took me out to supper and then she that was Frankie Irish with her husband came for us to spend the evening at her home. They brought me back to Rowes at ten oclock. Monday September 30th 1929 Spent the AM at Rowes. A letter from Hattie tells Lew Price was brought there for burial. I wrote Lydia and sent the letter to her. Wrote Hattie too. Frank Fletcher came at 12.30 to take me to lunch at The Elks Club. Then to get my ticket validated. After that to his hotel. From there he took me for a drive. through the mountains. He left me to call on Ida Burkett. I went on to the Rowes by street car. To bed early. Tuesday October 1st 1929 The Rowes got up early. Walter Cohich brought me to the train. Left for LA at 7.15, had a interesting day trip. Came directly to Rosslyn Hotel. Wrote Hattie, LeGrand, Lydia & Winnie. Was tired and to bed early. Wednesday October 2nd 1929 I had breakfast in hotel. Wrote cards to The Briggs, Mabel McDougall, Paul Whetstone, Lizzie Felkner, Anna Mc---, Will Work & Mattie Moore. Found Ott Seibert in her office. We had lunch together. I slept some & wrote Hattie. Went home with Ott Seibert. Did not see her Mother. I came back to The Rosslyn by street car at 9.30.
