Friday November 29th 1929 It was very cold. I went to the station in a taxi. A very comfortable trip to Chicago. Winnie met me went out on elevated. Spent evening visiting. Saturday November 30th 1929 We went down town at ten oclock. Was at The Gold Diggers till one. Had lunch and was through some of the stores. I mailed letter with card and gift to Bro Ott. It was five oclock when we got home. Sunday December 1st 1929 It snowed and was so cold we did not get out of the house. Bro Ott 70 years old today. Wrote Lydia, Birdie & Mrs Doyle. The Levegoods here in evening. Monday December 2nd 1929 I had a letter from Louis Bremner. Wrote Hattie and sent it to her. We went down on Madison St to a show. Stopped at stores. weather cold. Tuesday December 3rd 1929 I had letters forwarded from Mrs Falk, Mrs Miller of Elkhart & Alberta. One from Hattie. We went out to Woolfs in the afternoon. very cold coming here. December 4th 1929 I wrote Lydia I would not come till Saturday. We went out on Madison St to a beautiful new picture show place in afternoon. Evening at home reading and crotcheting.
