Thursday January 16th 1930 I finished the towels by three oclock and wrote to Joe Woolf and Harry Able. Ott here for dinner. I read in the evening and was down stairs awhile. Friday January 17th 1930 Below zero all day. I did some cleaning and went home with Rob at noon. He brought me home after supper. Hattie had a letter from Ida. She has been sick. I had one from Lydia. I wrote both of them in the evening. Saturday January 18th 1930 It was 24 below this morning. I went up town to get some things. Hattie here for dinner. William came for us to go over there. Rob came for us. Letter from Mattie Fletcher. I read in the evening. Sunday January 19th 1930 William took me to church and then started to Chicago. Mary came for Ott & me. I wrote to Winnie, Harry Rowe, and The Rhinds in the afternoon. Monday January 20th 1930 Very cold. I was home all day. Did some sewing Ott here for dinner. Read a book part of time. Tuesday January 21st 1930 Still cold. Hattie did not come down as Cora has a bad cold. I made a cover for pillow and did other work. Letters from Emma Herriott and Winnie. I read awhile in evening and was down with The Gays for some time.
