Wednesday April 30th 1930 The forenoon was shirt. I felt too tired to do anything but the little ironing. Ida went to the PO in the PM and got caught in rain. We both took a sleep. Ott, Mary & Buddy here after supper. Wrote Ella Nagle. Thursday May 1st 1930 I went up town in AM thought it was raining some. Did a number of errands and Rob brought me home. A letter from Mattie Fletcher told that Lucy died very suddenly in Oakland a week ago. I wrote Lydia, Winnie and Lucy Woodworth after dinner. Ida went to a show with Hattie and was here till Rob called for her. A heavy rain at night. Friday May 2nd 1930 A telegram from Ed Reed told that Cousin Sallie died this forenoon. I was busy with the work most of the AM. Wrote Emma Herriott. Saturday May 3rd 1930 I went up town with Ida in AM and got things for the table and came right back. After dinner we both rested awhile and then went out to Aunt Emmas. A letter from Mrs Doyle at Long Beach. Sunday May 4th 1930 It was raining but Ott took us to church. After we rested in PM The Byingtons took us to ride went to the cemetery and to Whetstones. I wrote Emma Herriott and Ed Reed. Read in evening.
