Friday June 6th 1930 I wrote Winnie and went up town, paid bills, and got things for the table. The two Hatties here in the afternoon. We made aprons for the store. A letter from Laura tells they have taken Lydia home. There is no hope for her. An operation is impossible, sad. Saturday June 7th 1930 Cool weather. I wrote LeGrand & Gerta Fletcher in AM. Bro Ott here for dinner. I slept in PM, wrote to Will Levagood and Ott Seibert. Went up town after supper. Then read till late bed-time. weather cool. Sunday June 8th 1930 Wrote Cora before Ott came to take me to S S. We did not stay for childrens day. Hattie went with us to The Cemetery. The Byingtons with Ila came to Hatties later. We were all there for dinner. Ott brought me home about four oclock. Read all evening. Monday June 9th 1930 I wrote Laura before mail collection. Sewed a little. After dinner rested awhile. Hattie W-- came in too. I read all evening after my supper work done. The 9 of last June we all wen to Burlington for the day. Tuesday June 10th 1930 Wrote Ella Nagle after the AM work. Went to The Library with books. Mary came to take me to Cedar Rapids. We had Hattie & Hattie Miller with us. Did not get home till six oclock. A letter from Ida. Read in the evening.
