Friday October 24th 1930 The day soon passed. Reached Oklahoma City at 5 PM. Found things just as a year ago. A letter from Laura. Art & Grace over here for the evening. Saturday October 25th 1930 I did some writing and read to Ira. The day and evening spent here with family. Weather fine. Sunday October 26th 1930 Ralph took Grace and me to church and brought us back to their home for dinner. I went over to see Mrs. Phillips a few moments. A good visit with Art & Grace. The evening with Jane & family. Monday October 27th 1930 Wrote Will Work. Went out to Gertrude Mitchels by street car. I saw Dr Branson a few minutes. Gertrude brought me home. Spent PM here. Jane got my supper early. Ralph & Elizabeth took me to the station for the train at 6 PM. Went to bed early. Tuesday October 28th 1930 Reached Kansas City at 7:15 and out for Des Moines at 8:30. It was a tedious trip. Went directly to the Browns. I talked to Joe Williams. Wrote some after supper. Wednesday October 29th 1930 Went out to the Williams by street car. A letter Joe got from Hattie says they want me home tomorrow eve for a surprise birthday party for Mary. It began to storm so I went back to the Browns in a taxi. I will soon be at the end of this wonderful trip.
