Saturday January 1st 1927 We were late getting up. I threaded some beads then got ready to go over to Byingtons. Cora took us in the new car. We stopped at the Englert to get tickets for next Tuesday night. Mr. & Mrs. Moss was there for a visit. Fannie had a fine dinner. We listened to the report of the foot ball game at Pasadena. In the evening to a wonderful concert in New York. I wrote Edith Whetstone and Warner McCall. Rob out of town. Sunday January 2d 1927 It was late when we got up. Rob took us to SS and Ott brought us home from church. Lillian is away and Cora got the dinner. I put in part of the PM verifying checks and working of my bank statements I got from Ott a few days ago. Wrote to Lydia. Monday January 3d 1927 I finished the bead bag by noon. Rob took Hattie and me downtown. I had my hair fixed was in Otts office and the bank I got Wills ring that was being fixed. Was up in the office to see Gertrude Smith. Home by streetcar. Read and wrote Joe Woolf. Tuesday January 4th 1927 I wrote Elizabeth McCollister The folks from the other home here for the day. After they went home Cora took us downtown. I mailed the bag. After supper Rob took Hattie & me to the Englert to meet Mary and her Mother. I took them to hear "No No Nanette." Very good. Mary took us home after it was over. I did some packing today.
