Monday February 14th 1927 A nice day. Ida went to Columbus. I read part of the day. Had letters from Warner McCall and Lydia. She told me Lou Duncan died Thursday. Tuesday February 15th 1927 I wrote to Nellie and Lizzie Duncan in the forenoon. Ida had a new piano put in and in the PM went to call on a sick neighbor. I wrote to Ann Henslee and read in a book. A nice day. letters from Hattie & Winnie. Wednesday February 16th 1927 I helped Ida some and wrote Joe Woolf. We were going to Newark in the afternoon but Ida was too tired. I read and slept. She went to a church meeting in the evening I wrote to Mattie Stitt. Thursday February 17th 1927 Ida and Miss Reid busy about the house. I read some and wrote to Hattie. We went down town early in the afternoon and later Ida had callers. I wrote Edith Whetstone in the evening. Weather very fine. Friday February 18th 1927 I went down town early to do some errands for Ida. She and Miss Reid were doing things about the house. Later the two ladies who were to assist Ida with her party were here. The house looked very pretty. Most of the ladies came though it was snowing some. A pleasant time. A late phone message from Nellie said she and Harry would leave for Boston Sunday night. Late to bed. Ida tired.
