Monday July 4th 1927 I packed up the last of my things and had a taxi take me to my rooms. Was busy there till after four oclock. Hattie & Rob came to take me over to Otts. We had picnic supper and pleasant time. I stopped at my rooms for the night. Did some packing before I went to bed. Tuesday July 5th 1927 I finished packing and went out for breakfast. Rob & Hattie came. Then William and later Cora who took me to the station. Ott was coming to Davenport on the same train. The wait at Bureau was not tedious. When I got to Peoria Edith and The Woolfs were there. I was so glad to get on out tonight. Was very tired. It had been a warm day and I had little sleep last night. Too much noise. Wednesday July 6th 1927 I rested and visited with the girls. Edith did washing. I wrote Hattie. Laura went for a call with The Woods after supper. Later there was a hard storm with rain. We got to bed about ten oclock. Thursday July 7th 1927 I was busy with my own affairs till Frank Woolf came for us at 11.30. Spent a pleasant day over there. Frank brought us home at 5 oclock. The Clarkes called in the evening. The girls got to bed early. A beautiful cool day after the rain.
