Thursday July 28th 1927 I wrote some letters in AM to Will & Flora, Jeff Mc---, Winnie & Hattie. Went out to Browns in afternoon with Mr Albers & Edith. Letter from Cousin Jen. very warm. Friday July 29th 1927 It stormed last night. I went to Peoria with the Woolfs. I did not succeed I getting shoes. Home by supper time. Saturday July 30th 1927 I worked at my rug what time I could. Mr Haskins and Ella Chestnut and cousin called. Sunday July 31st 1927 I went to S S and church in taxi. When I came out Harry was there to take me home. They went home by four oclock. I wrote Ott. Read in evening. Monday August 1st 1927 I worked on my rug all day. Edith up town in AM and to Pekin with Mr Albers in afternoon. A letter from the girls say they will be here Thursday. Tuesday August 2nd 1927 Working on rug. Had letters from both Hattie & Ott. Wrote Hattie and went to the depot to mail it. There was a rain late in afternoon. Much cooler. Wednesday August 3rd 1927 Wrote Joe Woolf before I began other things. Edith up town for mail. I got a letter from Warner McCall. he tells me Ella died the 27th of July from a broken hip. Carl Duncan took me to Harty McKinstry to plan for my luncheon. I went on to Lizzies and he brought me home.
