Thursday August 4th 1927 I worked on my rug all day. Edith busy about the house. A letter from Winnie and I wrote her. The girls got home at 7 oclock. Frank Woolf brought them from Pekin. Friday August 5th 1927 I worked all day on my rug. The girls busy with their own affairs. Some callers in evening. Saturday August 6th 1927 Edith did errands for me in AM. I phoned the invitations for my luncheon next Tuesday. I worked on my rug. The girls busy. Letter from Hattie. She can not come here. Wrote her special delivery letter. Worked on rug. Sunday August 7th 1927 It was very warm. I did not go to church. I wrote letters part of the day. Wrote Ott Seibert. Mattie Stitt, Cousin Jen, Lizzie Lindley, Ida and LeGrand. Monday August 8th 1927 I worked all day on my rug. Edith did washing. The other girls busy. Letters from Winnie & Hattie. It rained late in the afternoon. I sewed in evening. Wrote Birdie. Tuesday August 9th 1927 Sewed a little in AM. Wrote Winnie & Hattis. We got ready to go to Harty McKinstrys to my party at 11.30. There was 16 of us at table. The dinner was good. All stayed till after five oclock. It was a cool pleasant day. Edith did not go. I sewed some on my rug and some girls called in evening.
