Saturday August 20th 1927 I did my work. Went over to Library to change a book. Went up town in afternoon. Letter from Birdie and one from Mattie Stitt with clipping of Newton Pattersons death. Sunday August 21st 1927 I walked to church and Ott brought me home. Rob came for me soon after I had my dinner. He brought me back after supper. I wrote Birdie and read till bed-time. Pleasant day. Monday August 22nd 1927 I was busy about the rooms most of the day. Read, did some sewing and took a nap. Mr Stanfield brought my chairs home (16.00). Called on Mrs Bradway after supper. William & Mary here a few moments. Tuesday August 23rd 1927 I went up town in AM. Was at Dr Smiths office to see if I needed new glasses. Slept most of afternoon. Spent evening at Hatties. Both ways by taxi. weather fine. Wednesday August 24th 1927 I went up town in AM. Took treatment of Dr Stryker spent the afternoon at Aunt Emmas. Went up for mail. Letter from Lydia. Wrote Will & Flora Levagood. Fine day. Thursday August 25th 1927 Went up town in AM. Had letters from Winnie and Birdie. Hattie here all the afternoon. After my supper I started to call on Mrs Webb, but stopped on the porch at The Ogle Home. Wrote Lydia in the forenoon and Winnie in evening.
