Sunday July 1st 1928 Ott took Ida and me to church. After dinner I wrote minutes for Elder Daughter meeting. Later had a nice ride with Ott & Fannie. Wrote Winnie and Lydia. Very warm. I read in evening. Early to bed. Monday July 2nd 1928 I went up town was at the bank and did some errands. Rested and read in afternoon. Went up to Myrna Troths to Elder Daughter committee meeting in evening. Letter from Mabel McDougall. Warner the same. Tuesday July 3rd 1928 A very warm day. Not away from the house till time for Ott & Fannie to call for us to go to The Red Ball for supper where Ida had all the family with Aunt Emma & Anna. We went over to Otts later. It rained some. William brought us home. Wednesday July 4th 1928 William came and took us to the station to see Ott & Fannie leave for Ireland. There was a hard storm last night and they had to take a local train to Chicago. The Whetstones. The Lees. Fred & Effie was there too. Mary brought us home. I did the work and in the afternoon Aunt Emma, Anna, Ida & Hattie were here. I took them out to supper near by and they came back to stay till dark. Ida & I went to bed early. We were so disturbed last night by storm and guns.
