Wednesday July 11th 1928 Ida up town. I ironed some. It was late when we had breakfast. Paid Mr Haster the rent. Hattie came late in afternoon and we went to Ida Andersons by car. We had a fine visit. Cora brought us home. Thursday July 12th 1928 I went up town in forenoon & Ida most of the afternoon. I wrote to Mrs Doyle & card to Warner. We were going to Shultz in evening but could not for rain. Friday July 13th 1928 I went up town in AM. Ida away to a lecture in PM. I wrote Laura. We spent a pleasant evening with The Moons going and coming by street car. Saturday July 14th 1928 I was busy about the house all forenoon. We rested a little while before Elmer & Ida Anderson came to take us a ride. Went to Stevens. Then back to town on the other side of the river to near North Liberty where we had supper. Later up town for things to eat. A called from Joplin MO, a Miss Livermore. Sunday July 15th 1928 I went to S S with The Andersons. Ida came to church in a taxi. We went home with the Whetstones for dinner. Later Rob took us for a long ride. We had supper and spent evening at home. Monday July 16th 1928 Ida up town. I busy with the work. We both rested in PM and went to [Sleveretts?] Wests recital in the evening with Hattie & Cora. Very warm. Hattie here in AM.
