Tuesday July 17th 1928 Ida busy packing, took package to PO. She and Hattie left for Burlington at 2.45. Rob took us to the depot. When I came back took another package to mail for Ida. Very warm. In the rooms in evening. Letter from Mrs Doyle. Wednesday July 18th 1928 It was so hot and stormed last night and heavy train in AM. I did washing and wrote Ida, sent a key I knew she left. Later wrote Jesse Henderson went to PO. Anna Kleim in for the evening. Thursday July 19th 1928 A very hard rain early. Minnie Showers here for call. Later the Dr who is doing for my feet. I slept awhile in PM. Wrote Hattie & W B Mc---. Went up to a band concert in the evening. Very warm. Friday July 20th 1928 Went up town early for things. Busy with some mending and house-work. Letter from Mary. Wrote to her Winnie and Mrs Doyle in afternoon. Very sultry. Saturday July 21st 1928 Did ironing, had letters from Mattie Stitt, Laura & Ida. Sewed some. Wrote Ida & Laura. Cora came to take me a ride at 4 oclock. Up town in the evening. Sunday July 22nd 1928 Did not go out till evening. Did not feel well. Wrote to L D L, Mattie Stitt & LeGrand. Went to The Union Review in evening. Mr Rhind preached. Called at Myra Troths and stopped in Miss Kleims room.
