Saturday July 28th 1928
Hattie came in time that we went to The M E Church
for Hart Spencers funeral and to the cemetery with
Ed & Ada McCollister. The exercises at the grave was
by the Knights Templers. I was busy at home all afternoon.
After supper went up Hattie by car. Letter from Ida.
Sunday July 29th 1928
I went to S S & church. Rode home with Anderson.
In afternoon got my things ready to go up to Hatties.
Mrs Gay was over and we selected the paper for rooms.
Rob came for me. and after supper took us to ride
and left us at Esther Swishers where we listened to
a musical programe and had social time. Ingalls
brought us home. Rob & Hattie to Cora to Cedar Rapids early. Wrote Mrs Doyle.
Monday July 30th 1928
A beautiful day. I came down with Rob after dinner.
Rested here and wrote Ida. Card from L D L.
Went back by taxi. Hattie and I came back by street
car to show and I took Miss Kleim with is home by car.
Tuesday July 31st 1928
I wrote L D L and Mattie Fletcher and sent with
new air mail stamps. One of the boys at the
store took Hattie and me to Stevens in afternoon.
Wednesday August 1st 1928
Hattie had Mrs Shultz and daughter here for
the day. We had a good visit but it was
frightfully hot. Sent letter to Ott Seibert by air.
A letter from she and Mattie Stitt last evening.
