Thursday August 2nd 1928 I read some in forenoon, came down to the rooms in afternoon with Rob. Wrote Warner B McCall. Went home with Rob. We came back to Band concert. Friday August 3rd 1928 A hard rain late in the night. Rob away again. I rested and read. Did not feel very well. Saturday August 4th 1928 I read in AM. Came down town in taxi. was over to The Gay house awhile. Spent evening with Hattie. Sunday August 5th 1928 Hattie went to S S & church. I rested at home. We were here all the rest of the day. Wrote Mrs Falk. Monday August 6th 1928 Read in forenoon. Rob took us for a fine ride to Davenport, had supper at Tipton and came through West Branch. Went to bed early. Weather still warm. Tuesday August 7th 1928 I wrote Ida, Laura & Winnie before noon. When I came down town after dinner found letters from all. Wrote more in each. Went up town, got me two dresses and a hat. Went home by taxi. Evening on the porch. Wrote Cora. Wednesday August 8th 1928 I was here at Hatties all day. Rob home. he took her to make called in afternoon. We sat on the porch in evening and them listened to Radio from Rockford Ill. A big day at Camp Grant.
