Thursday August 30th 1928 I did some ironing and put in most of the afternoon packing dishes and doing other things to get ready to move. Was over to Gays some. Friday August 31st 1928 I went up town in the AM and selected a couple of rugs at Strohs. Did more work. Dr Bates to take came of my feet. Went to the rooms at four oclock to receive the rugs with my big one from here being cleaned. Back up to Strohs till supper making a change. Evening busy. Saturday September 1st 1928 Up early and ready for the morning. Brought some small things over. Hattie came at ten oclock. The men later and got one load over. They stopped for dinner and we went up town for something to eat. I got some things for the table. By four oclock every things was in order. Cora soon came for Hattie. I got some supper. Went up town for cream. Talked to Mrs Gay and to bed. Seventeen years today Mother died. Sunday September 2nd 1928 I rested well last night. Mrs Gay gave me coffee for breakfast. I have no gas yet. The Woolfs with Jennie Sterritt called. I got dinner here and rested most of the afternoon. Wrote Lydia took the letter to the mail box. The evening with the Gays.
