Sunday October 21st 1928 Ott took me to church. Rode home with The Andersons. I slept in PM. There was a hard rain. Mrs Gay up in the evening. I read in a book till late. Monday October 22nd 1928 I worked till two oclock fixing my crab apples. Then went to call at Will Thomas and both families of The Murphys. On up town. It was six oclock when I got home. Letter from Ruth Vaughn. Wrote her in evening. Tuesday October 23rd 1928 I went up town to get things to do sewing for self. Had letters from Mrs Doyle, Alma Wenig & Emma Herriott. Wrote to her. The Whetstones came soon after dinner. We went to Cedar Rapids. Hattie and I to see "The King of Kings" where we got back. She came home with me for supper and then we went to The S. U. I. play. Both good. Robert brought me home at eleven. Wednesday October 24th 1924 I was sewing all day. I made a slip for my green silk dress. Letters from Ella Nagle & Lydia. I wrote Cora & Alma and took the letters to the box before I had my supper. Read and wrote in this book after supper. Thursday October 25th 1928 I began to fix my brown dress. I got it apart and a good start on it. Hattie stopped here late in the afternoon. After supper The Andersons took us to prayer meeting. We left Hattie at home.
