Friday October 26th 1928 I went up town for some things. Then sewed on my dress all day. It rained in afternoon. I went down to the place to register after supper. Then wrote letters to Mattie Fletcher, Mary Price, Lydia and Ida. Saturday October 27th 1928 I went up town to order groceries and get my fur coat. Then finished my cleaning. Met Hattie at the Store and we went to The Game. Iowa won. There was a great crowd. She came home with me and Mrs R R Reed with the children from Columbus Ohio called. Later we went up town and Hattie on home. Sunday October 28th 1928 Ott took me to church and Hattie and I to her house at 5 oclock. We came back to Vespers by street car. Robert came for us and we took the flowers from the church to several places. I had supper after I got home and wrote Winnie & Warner McCall. A nice day. Rob met Cora in Cedar Rapids. She is very tired and net well. Monday October 29th 1928 It is four years today since Vene died. I was home all day sewing on brown dress. Read a book in evening. Tuesday October 30th 1928 I finished my dress by noon. Went up town after dinner. Took a hat to be fixed. Had hem stitching done for my fur piece. Worked at that after I came home. Evening at Lou Hughes on Elder Daughter affairs. Did not see Hattie. She went to Cedar Rapids with Mrs Barber. Fine weather.
