Tuesday November 6th 1928 I washed some and went up town. Such a crowd I did not wait to vote. Hattie here awhile. I went back to vote after dinner. Did some errands. Aunt Emma and Ida Anderson here. Later I walked to depot to talk about rates for a trip I may take. Listened to radio with The Gays to hear reports of election. A beautiful day. Letter from Ida. Wednesday November 7th 1928 It rained most of the day. I went to the Church in a taxi. An interesting day. Rob came for Hattie at four oclock and brought me home. Letters from Mrs Falk and Alice Condon. The word on election is Herbert Hoover is President. Thursday November 8th 1928 I sewed in forenoon. Went over to Orie Spencers by taxi. The Byingtons brought me home. Hattie was with them. She stayed for supper. The Andersons took us to Prayer meeting. I wrote Ida after I came home. Friday November 9th 1928 I wrote Winnie & Lydia and took the mail to the box. Dr Bates here to care for my feet. It was raining but I went to Coralville and called at Jones, Robinsons, Millers, Pointains & Garrets. It was six oclock when I got home. read some and wrote Alice Condon after supper. Saturday November 10th 1928 Was home in AM. Wrote Ott Seibert. A letter from Winnie. After dinner met Hattie at Englerts to see "Wings." Went home with her for supper and Rob brought me home. A beautiful day. Read in evening.
