Thursday November 22nd 1928 Went with Art McCollister's family out to see a farm he had bought. Letter from Lydia. I wrote to her and Winnie, WB Mc---, Fannie, Mrs Gay & Will & Flora. Then took them to the office. Evening here and did my packing Friday November 23rd 1928 Left Oklahoma City at 8.20. The ride part of the way very good. Later changed to small train. Jesse met me at Joplin. Her Father and Mother there too and had supper and spent the evening and then we took them home and rode about the city. The Henderson home is beautiful. Saturday November 24th 1928 The forenoon spent pleasantly. Part of it over at Mattie's home. In the afternoon Mr. Henderson took us for a long ride. After supper we went to a picture show. Later had callers. A fine day. Sunday November 25th 1928 I wrote Hattie and Jane and packed up my things. The Oustatts here for dinner. We left Abe at home and the rest of us had a ride over to Neosha. Mattie asked to be left at home. Then The Hendersons took me on to Carthage. Spent the evening visiting with Alice. I am very tired. Went to bed early. I certainly am having a wonderful visit.
