Monday November 26th 1928 Alice and I spent the day with Emma. After supper went to call on a cousin of Allie Ott who lived near by. Letter from Hattie. She tells that Cora has gone back to be near her Mother. Tuesday November 27th 1928 I packed my things and wrote Joe Williams. Alice daughter here in afternoon. Later we went by taxi to George Corwines. Emma was there. We had supper and visited till nine oclock. The taxi took The Girls home and me to the depot for the 9.40 train to St Louis. My berth was ready for me. Wednesday November 28th 1928 I had time for breakfast at St Louis. Left at 9. oclock on The Central. Had a wait at Mt. Pulaski. When I reached Delavan at 5.15 Laura & Lydia were at the depot and we went to The Catholic supper before we went home. I met many I know. Thursday November 29th 1928 A letter from Fannie. We got ready to go to The Varneys for dinner. Mr. Clarke came for us. There were other guests. We had such a pleasant day. Letters from Winnie, Hattie, and Mrs. Doyle I wrote Fannie and Winnie in the evening.
