Sunday December 23rd 1928 Ott was not out so I walked to church and back. Hattie was there. I found a lot of mail under my door. Weather milder. I went to The S S programe at the church at 4.30. Hattie was there. Mrs Rhind brought is here. She went home by taxi. Monday December 24th 1928 I felt as if I had taken more cold and did not do much of anything. Had a lot more mail. Rob and Hattie came for me after supper to go up for the night. Tuesday December 25th 1928 We got up early and looked at our presents. They were too numerous to mention. I read some before The Byingtons came. The dinner and day was fine. About six oclock we went over to Byingtons where we had tray lunch and a pleasant evening. I coughed quite a lot. Hattie & Cora brought me home. So ends another Christmas. A wire from Nellie. Wednesday December 26th 1928 I coughed so hard this morning. I had a telegram from Emma Herriott that her Father died at eleven oclock last night. They take him to Delavan for burial. How I wish I was able to go. Hattie came down early in the PM. We went to Will Thomas funeral. She came back for supper. Anna Kleim was here in the evening. It has been a nice wintry day. Some mail. Wrote Ida and Winnie in PM.
