Friday January 9th 1925 We were very late at Jacksonville. Had breakfast on the train. It was a fine day. With a lady from Joliet had a ride around the city. Left for DeLand at 3.10. Mrs Falk was at the station to meet me. I came over in a taxi to the Minnesota. very good here. Saturday January 10th 1925 I went down town in the AM and later wrote Lydia and Fannie. I sat on the porch most of the PM and read. Mrs Falk came. I rode to the P O with her. letter from Ida, Lydia & LeGrand. Sunday January 11th 1925 I went to the M. E. Sunday school and the Science services later. I met many I know there. It rained in the afternoon. I took a nap. The Pickens called. I talked with guests in the evening and wrote Hattie Monday January 12th 1925 Went down town in the AM. Met Mr Falk in PO. Card from Warner McCall. I wrote to him. It rained all afternoon. Later Mrs Falk brought me letters from Mrs John Peckham, Mary Holsen, Roxie Rabenov, with a copy of the Press. Read in evening Tuesday January 13th 1925 I was in my room most of the AM. Went down town awhile. I read some in the PM and called at Pickens. Mrs Falk brought me letters from Hattie and Lizzie Lindley. Wrote to her in the evening after I had been to band concert. Weather delightful
