Friday January 1st 1926 Edith and I left her house and walked up to Colorado Ave about ten oclock. The day was perfect and The Flower Parade beyond description. There was a delay and we learned later there was a terrible accident with a collapse of one of the grand stands some block away. Paul went to a foot ball game. After supper he went back to the city after taking Edith and me over to the cousins to call. Saturday January 2nd 1926 Soon as we had breakfast Paul brought me over to see Anna McCallister near Sycamore Park. I left then to meet Ott at The Roslyn. We had lunch and was about town awhile. Then I went to see Ella Byers. Back to Otts office. Maime came for us. We met Charles & Emily and had supper before coming home. They came too. I had letters from Hattie, Mrs Pickens, Millie Byington, Winnie & Cora. I have had a splendid time for New Years. Sunday January 3rd 1926 The Seiberts and I went over to Alhambra to be with some of the Custer family. A brother there from Iowa and a sister from Nebraska. Then to Ruth Dees for supper. A delightful ride home and a wonderful day for me. Monday January 4th 1925 I was busy all morning going over the house. weather perfectly delightful. I wrote to Hattie and read some. We went for Ott. I had three papers & letter from Bro Ott and Mrs Falk. Had supper in town. Late home. I also wrote a note to Lizzie Felkner.
