Friday July 9th 1926 Frank Woolf came for the girls at 7 oclock. It had rained a little. Edith busy about the house all day. I wrote Fannie and read and slept. Sent Warner McCall letter by air mail. Saturday July 10th 1926 I fixed my sweater. Read some and wrote Hattie. Took mail to the depot. Edith had letter from Lydia and later a telephone from Harry. He had a telegram of their safe arrival at Roberts. We walked up town after supper. I was at Lizzie Duncans awhile. Rode home with Mr Albers & Edith. Sunday July 11th 1926 Edith and I to church. After that we and The Woolfs were taken out for dinner by Mrs McClay. Edith had something to present. But I rode with the rest of the folks all PM. The Clarkes here in evening. Monday July 12th 1926 I had letter from Hattie. The Pickens were in Iowa City the day after I left. Hattie did not see them. I wrote to Ott Seibert, LeGrand and L D L. There was a hard shower about five oclock. Mr Haskins where. Edith up town after supper. Tuesday July 13th 1926 Edith did ironing. I sewed some. Letter from Ott Seibert. The Iowa City paper tell of Byron Stillwells death. I put in the afternoon threading beads for a bag for Fannie. Edith up town after supper. I went to bed earl.
