Friday December 3rd 1926 It was late when we had breakfast. I wrote Birdie & Alice Condon. Winnie busy about the house. I worked some on bead bag and we both slept awhile. Read in the evening. Saturday December 4th 1926 I worked on bag and read papers in forenoon. Soon after dinner I dressed and went out to see Warner McCall. Had a pleasant afternoon. It was nearly dark when I got home. Read all evening. Sunday December 5th 1926 It snowed last night. We did not go out all day. I wrote LeGrand, Ann Henslee, Hattie and Lydia. Late in afternoon Dick Given came for a call. I read in a book all evening. Monday December 6th 1926 It was late when we got up. Went down to the city soon after breakfast. Was at Fields store and then to a show at "The Oriental." The streets were very sloppy. Got home about four oclock. A letter here from Hattie saying John Stevens died Saturday at noon. I am so sorry. I read in evening. Tuesday December 7th 1926 It had sleeted last night till everything was covered with ice. Winnie was out of an errand late in the afternoon. I sewed some in forenoon. Wrote Edith Whetstone and in the evening wrote Ott Seibert and Mattie Fletcher still raining.
