Friday January 30th 1920 I had my breakfast at Vinetta. I was car sick when I first got up. Reached Joplin at 12.10. Abe Onstott and Charlie Corwine met me and took me to Onstotts where Mattie & Jesse had a nice dinner ready. I had expected to go on to Carthage. Took Auto ride in afternoon. Evening visiting. Saturday January 31 1920 After a short afternoon the Onstotts brought me to Carthage in the Auto. Alice and I walked down town before supper time. Bertha and her husband were here for supper. I had a letter from Belle Stinson. Wrote her a card. Weather perfectly fine. Sunday February 1st 1920 A perfect day. I read some in afternoon. Wrote Aunt Sarah. Emma Spence here early in afternoon. Later Alice and I walked down town. Spent evening visiting. Monday February 2nd 1920 Alice and I did some washing in afternoon. A letter from Hattie. I wrote to her and Sue McCollister at St. Louis. Alice and I took supper and spent the evening at Spence's Tuesday February 3rd 1920 Bertha came very early in the morning. Alice was helping her sew. I did not get up early. I had a letter from Aunt Sarah. I wrote to Lydia. Alice and I walked down town before supper. Spent evening at home. Wednesday February 4th 1920 Crotcheted in afternoon. Alice sewing.
