Tuesday June 15th 1920 This is commencement day and Paul Helmich and Edwin Nixon both graduate. Cora took the ladies to town in the car soon after nine oclock. She soon came back and Rob had dinner with us. Hattie and Edith came the middle of the afternoon very tired. We rode after supper. a letter from Laura Mason. Wednesday June 16th 1920 Did some sewing today. Do not feel well. Wrote Laura. Alliene Bailey Johnston and little girls were here all afternoon. The folks went to a picture show. I was trying to sew and the lights went out so I went to bed. weather cooled. Thursday June 17th 1920 The girls did a big washing in forenoon. Cora had to got to the store after dinner. I rolled clothes ready to iron and put things away after the washing. Hattie and Edith ironed and I helped a little. Rob took us a very enjoyable ride after supper. We were home at nine. Still no lights. Friday June 18th 1920 weather cool and pleasant. I did a big washing of my own things and sewed some. Hattie and Edith up to the park to a picnic supper. Cora to town with Rob. I went down to Otts awhile. Home at nine oclock. No lights and no one here. a letter from Lydia. Saturday June 19th 1920 Cora and Hattie both ironed all afternoon as the electric current was on. Fannie here awhile. I baked bread. I sewed in afternoon. Hattie Edith and I spent the evening on porch. to bed early. Cora over at the store.
