Saturday May 14th 1921 A cold ugly day. Monte came to finish the rugs. The girls were buys with different things and & in the back part of the house. Cora went to the store after dinner. Hattie and I went to ride with Fannie, William, and a cousin who is with them. We brought LeGrand home from Oak Dale. The girls went to a P E O meeting in evening. I had head-ache, went to bed early. Sunday May 15th 1921 The folks went with The Byingtons for a picnic. I had head ache and did not get up till after twelve oclock. I read some in afternoon. The folks home at six oclock. Later went to Pratts to a musicale. I went to bed early. weather cold and disagreeable. Monday May 16th 1921 weather still cold. I got up before dinner. But went back to bed. The girls went to a party, late in the afternoon. I did not get me my supper. Rob did not come home. The girls came about eight oclock. a letter from Mrs Miller at Daytona Beach. Tuesday May 17th 1921 I got up for breakfast. I was sewing in forenoon. But slept after dinner. Hattie home all day. She and I down to Otts I the evening. I wrote to Lydia and Nellie Boswell before supper. Wednesday May 18th 1921 I rode to town with Cora and Hattie. I called on Levi Leonard and sister Minnie at The Jefferson. Was at Dr Smiths office. I had such a good visit with him. Got some shoes. Cora came for me. They went to Cedar Rapids in afternoon to P E O Convention. I was sewing. We went to a picture show in evening: "The [Jurish?] of the Cup" I read the book lately. The first time for picture show since July 1918 with my Will. A letter from Lydia.
