Thursday May 19th 1921 Hattie went to town to help with a food sale. Cora and I got the dinner. Hattie went to Cedar Rapids with Fannie and the boys. Mrs Swisher was with them to attend P E O Convention. Cora and I had restful afternoon at home. After supper Rob drove the car and we went out past the west farm. If Will could only been with us. Later we got Ott & Fannie and they with Hattie went to call at Prof Ensigns as her Mother had died. Friday May 20th 1921 I wrote Lydia and sewed some in AM. Went to town with Rob after dinner. I changed my shoes and brought home the clock I liked at Strobs. Came with Rob at 5 oclock and later rode to town with The girls when Cora took Hattie to Mrs Ensigns to the funeral of her Mother. Saturday May 21st 1921 I took the plants from bay windows and washed my windows on the outside and cleaned screens to put in. Hattie and Monte worked in the yard in forenoon and Hattie got her windows ready for screens. Monte was helping part of PM. Hattie & Cora went to a party at 5 oclock. I put out some plants after supper was too tired to go riding with The Byingtons. Sunday May 22nd 1921 A warm day. Hattie & Cora went to church. I took a sleep and started the dinner. The girls fixed things for picnic supper. I lay down on the couch and slept some more. The folks were up for supper including Mrs Moss & Mary and Hepburn Chamberlain. Rob & Cora went to store and the rest of us spent evening in the yard. Hepburn much to tell of a recent trip abroad.
