Tuesday July 19th 1921 Edith was all day doing a big ironing. I was busy in AM. Slept in afternoon and got my things ready to pack. We spent the evening on the porch. The last for me just now. Wednesday July 20th 1921 Frank & Sophie Woolf brought Edith and me to Peoria. After leaving my baggage at the depot Edith and I went back up town to spend the time and get dinner. Edith came back to the station with me. I left for Ottawa at 12.50. The ride was not long. The Pickens family met me. We drove about the city. Spent a pleasant evening visiting. Thursday July 21st 1921 We took a ride to "Starved Rock" and back through the farming country. It was pleasant and wonderful. Home before noon. We all rested in afternoon. Visited till late bed-time. Friday July 22nd 1921 The folks brought me to the station for a forenoon train. changed cars at Bureau where I got a good dinner and rode in a Pullman on home. Rob men me. I found Margie Hartsock here and Fannie had a cousin at her house and Hattie had a family party for supper. Saturday July 23rd 1921 Seventy years old today. The last birthday Will had. I wonder will I have another. I can never forget this day three years ago. How grieved Will was about me. I unpacked my things and cleaned up the back part of the house. Hattie to Amana with The Byingtons. I slept in afternoon. Spent evening alone with Ott on his porch.
