Friday August 12th 1921 I did some sewing in forenoon. Washed out a couple of dresses after dinner. Very warm took a sleep. Cora and Rob out for supper. Hattie and I walked to town after supper to see Players in SUI campus. Rob & Cora brought us home. Wrote Lydia early in PM. Saturday August 13th 1921 I made tatting and sewed some today. Hattie was having the kitchen painted and other work done to look after. A hard shower soon after dinner. I was down to Otts before supper. We spent the evening at home. Sunday August 14th 1921 The folks drove to Washington in forenoon to take Mr Gibbs and family. Otts family went to Des Moines. I wrote Alice Condon, Mrs Falk and Laura. The three Whetstones and myself took picnic supper up near North Liberty. Then alone around town awhile. Monday August 15th 1921 I did some sewing in forenoon. Went to town with Rob after dinner. Took chiropractic treatment went to the cemetery and then out to Ida Andersons. I came home with Rob. Spent evening at home with Hattie & Cora. Tuesday August 16th 1921 It rained a great part of the day. I baked bread. Hattie did extra work. Cora to the store. Hattie found Fannie laid up with sprained ankle in afternoon. Paul Helmich and wife here for supper. Hattie looked for Joe Williams. She did not come. Hattie phoned and found her sister Mollie had been taken suddenly ill.
