Saturday October 15th 1921 The HomeComing Day. Rain late in the night but a fine day. Hattie and I went to town with The Byingtons to see parade. Took dinner in The Campus, watched the crowd go to field. I came on home to sit on the porch. We went down to Otts after supper to see Will Bremner. A busy day at the store. All to the game but Hattie and me. Letter from Lizzie Lindley. It was three years today since Ida was called to Boston and I wrote Will to came home from Delavan. It is Fannies birthday. The sad hours I have spent in these three years. Sunday October 16th 1921 A short forenoon. I helped Cora some. We were all at Otts for dinner except Rob. He had to work today had early dinner at home. I wrote to Lydia. LeGrand up to say good-bye. He goes to St Louis tonight. William and Mary start to Des Moines in a new small car Ott got for them. Rob & Cora started to visit The [Davis?] in Minnesota at 9.30. Monday October 17th 1921 I sewed on my gown what spare time I had. Hattie to town and was caught in a rain. I went across the bridge for her basket she had left. In the afternoon a man was here to figure on a new roof for the house and glass for front door. Wrote to Ida. Tuesday October 18th 1921 Was busy all forenoon. The men came to start the roof. Hattie and I rode with Fannie to Aunt Emmas party. A very pleasant affair. We did not need supper. Walked back to town early to a picture show. a beautiful moonlight night.
