Monday July 24th 1922 The girls did the washing. Cora took us to town after dinner. I finished packing my trunk, sent it to depot. Hattie had the family here for supper. Ott took me over to get ticket and check. We hear it was Fred Robinsons boys hurt in car wreck at Washington yesterday. Tuesday July 25th 1922 The Whetstones brought me to the depot at 6.45. It was a long days ride. Mr & Mrs Watson on. We spent the night at Sherman Hotel. Wednesday July 26th 1922 A good nights rest. Late breakfast and left for Centralia at 11.00 AM. Rode the rest of the day through Dakota (fine train). Thursday July 27th 1922 Spelt well. Not car sick in the least. Rode all day through level country in Canada. Read some. Went to bed early. Friday July 28th 1922 We were in The Canadian Rockies when I woke up. Rode most of the day on The Observation. Wonderful day. Wrote Hattie. Saturday July 29th 1922 Reached Vancouver at 8 oclock. Went directly to Hotel. Sent telegram to Lizzie. Wrote Hattie, Lydia, Sciota Lape and Gertrude Smith. Took a wonderful sight seeing trip in PM. Sunday July 30th 1922 Left Vancouver at 8 oclock. A comfortable ride to Centralia. There was parlor and dining car of the train. Reached Centralia at 4.50. Lizzie met me. We had supper and visited in the evening. This is Edith's birthday and four years today my friend Mrs Dr Smith was buried.
