Saturday, February 18, 1865. Today passed so near the Juliet that we could talk to the men on board. To my dismay found J. S. McCay had been transfered to the Louisville. Most of the time spent reading the poems of dear old George Herbert. They breathed such devotion and zeal for God that I felt a world better for reading them. Evening had a long talk with a lady spy.
