Thursday, September 21, 1865. Had a pleasant A.M reading Drapers "Policy of America". Met Mrs C. & B on the Street and was soon released from all duty connected with the Fair. Bought some grapes for M- took them to him and said good-by. Then to Mrs Darwins visited awhile with her & Mrs Corkhill & then to the train to find that it had been gone half an hour. Had a very pleasant evening with Mrs Dee & Lizzie I believe so firmly in special providences that I am not so disappointed.
